Traditionally dried corn leaves were used to preserve foods such as mate, cheeses, piloncillo etc To cook tamales or meat, totomoxtle needs to be rehydrated in water until they are flexible again, a process that can last from 15 minutes or up to several hours, depending on the age and dryness of the leaves
Keep in a dry and cool place if in contact with light, regrigerate afer openning.
